My Story, My Voice: Personal Narrative Writing for Grade 4

This Grade 4 worksheet on Personal Narratives (Narrative Writing) helps students learn how to write about real-life experiences using their own voice. Based on the story “My Best Field Trip,” learners explore how personal narratives describe true events, include emotions, and follow a clear order from beginning to end.

Through comprehension questions, “show not tell” rewriting practice, multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blanks, and guided paragraph writing, students strengthen their ability to share real memories in a structured and expressive way. The worksheet encourages children to reflect on experiences and communicate their feelings clearly using first-person narration.

Why Personal Narratives Matter in Writing?

Personal narrative writing is important because:
    1. It helps students express real experiences confidently.
    2. It builds emotional awareness through sharing feelings and thoughts.
