The History
Labor Day started in the United States of America in 1886. During the height of industrialisation and urbanisation, people in business exploited the working class by forcing them to work for 15 hours every day. Notwithstanding this exploitation, the workers decided to stand for their rights.

The recognition of Labour's day began when industrialists began exploiting the working class. They demanded hard work from employees yet paid them a minimum wage. Workers were forced to labour anywhere from 10 to 15 hours per day in unpredictable circumstances in enterprises such as chemical plants and mines. Many employees used to get sick, and a few died.
They decided to fight this exploitation and banded together to speak out against the tragedy. To protest the unfairness, they organised a union movement and began to revolt. The government eventually cut working hours to eight hours each day. As a result, the day is commemorated to honour this class's accomplishments.
Even though each country's history is unique, the main cause for this day seems to be the same: unfair treatment of the working class. There were several protests against this in various regions of the world. As a result, a special day is set aside to honour the working class and recognise their contributions to society.
Celebrations
Various socialist, communist, and protest groups have used the day as a rallying point for years.
Labour Day has become an occasional event for massive military displays and was observed by key leaders throughout the Cold War, from 1947 to 1953.
The day is devoted solely to employees who should be aware of their rights. May Day is essentially a celebration of workers worldwide, and it honours them. It is also a popular spring holiday in the northern hemisphere.
